China Field School!

Last spring, I had the opportunity to register for the pilot class of a new international business course offered by Capilano. We spent three weeks in four different cities working with university students, attending lectures, and experiencing as much of chinese culture as we could. It was fantastic.





Some of the main highlights of the trip were:

• Visiting the famous financial district in Shanghai

• Touring the downtown core, and the beautiful "west Lake" park in Hangzhou
  

• Touring a Toyota motor vehicles manufacturing plant in Tianjin
  

• Exploring the Forbidden City and the Great Wall in Beijing

My class was also invited to a networking event for BC alumni which was hosted at the British Columbia Canada Pavilion in Beijing, which is literally a few yards away from Tiananmen Square. It was here that I met Minister Colin Hansen, and our premiere, Gordon Campbell .
